Rev. Thelma Sophia Colley Stuck, 84, passed away, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Harnett Manor. Mrs. Stuck is the daughter of the late Ally W. Colley and Allie May Robbins. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Clifton Stuck.

Mrs. Stuck is survived by her five children, John Stuck and wife Menerva of Cary, Allieta Price and husband David of Willow Spring, Mary Miller and husband Richard of Clayton, Richard Stuck of Wellsville, Pa. and Carole Willis of Angier. She is  also survived by her sister, Abby Wiley of Waterford, Pa. and  seventeen grandchildren.

A funeral  service will be held, Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 2 PM at Williford Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 before the funeral service. Burial will follow at Primitive Baptist Church in Angier.  Arrangements are being handled by Williford Funeral Home, 201 East Academy Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC. Dateline: Fuquay-VarinaCharlie Demetris Hester, 86, passed away at Harnett Manner in Lillington on December 22, 2008. Mr. Hester was born in Durham County to the late Simon and Selina Hester. He is survived by his wife Hersey and son Donald. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation Friday, December 26, 2008 from 7-9pm at Williford Funeral Home in Fuquay-Varina. Funeral services will be held at Williford Funeral Home’s Chapel on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 1pm. Internment will follow at Kennebec Cemetery. Dateline: Fuquay-VarinaDonna Gene Alters, 59, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Mrs. Alters was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Bryson. She is survived by her daughter, Dena Wilkins and husband Brian of Apex. Grandsons, Mason Shane Liggette, Austin Lee Wilkins and Quinton Keith Wilkins. There will be a graveside service, Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens, 905 Wake Chapel Rd., Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. Dateline: Fuquay-VarinaCharles William Davidson, Sr., 63, passed away at E. Carlton Power Hospice Center on Thursday, December 18, 2008. Mr. Davidson spent fourteen years in customer service at Home Depot, always providing excellent service in each department and known for telling people he felt, “better than yesterday, not as good as tomorrow.” Mr. Davidson was born in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late John and Amanda Davidson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Burnard and Clyde. Mr. Davidson leaves behind a beloved wife, Kimberlee, a son, Charles Davidson, Jr. (wife April), daughter, Jeannette Kay Davidson, of Pittsburgh, PA, six brothers and sisters, John, Ronald, James, Barbara, Mary, and Rose, and one grandchild, Baylee Kaye Davidson. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 12:00pm at East Triangle Church of Christ in Morrisville. Alberta Smith passed away on December 18, 2008.

Floyd M. Yates, formerly of Pine Bluff, died at his home in Duncan, NC on December 15, 2008. He was born in Malvern, AR and is the son of the late Cecil and Zella (Walters) Yates. He was a graduate of Malvern High School and Ouachita Baptist College. He had been a member of First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was currently a member of the congregation of Triangle Bible Church in Raleigh, NC. He was a retired farmer.

He was a very loving brother, husband, and father. He is survived by his wife Charlene, his son Brett, his brother Cecil, all of North Carolina; and his sister Mary Mobley of Bryant, Arkansas.

The family requests that memorials be made to the National Arthritis Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
