David Haul Wester

David Haul Wester, 79, passed away at Rex Hospital on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Mr. Wester was born in Harnett County in 1928 to the late Clyde Elbert and Sunnie Wester. He is preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Jeff, Mutt, and Sam, as well as a sister, Leah Dickens.
Mr. Wester leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of many years, Margie W. Walton. He was blessed to have many family members that loved him, including his lone surviving sister, Rachel Burke (of Maryland), as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family members that number to many to mention.
A visitation will be held at Williford Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Friday, October 31, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at Williford Funeral Home at 11am on Saturday, November 1st with internment following at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church Building Fund. Services entrusted to Williford Funeral Home, 919-552-2211. Wiley Raeford Wood, 84, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2008 at Wake Medical Center. Mr. Wood of 1186 Oakridge Duncan Rd., was a retired farmer, loving husband and father. Wiley loved farming and raising food for his family and friends. He loved his family and enjoyed having members join him for Sunday dinner when possible. Wiley was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and will be buried in the church cemetery with family and friends.
Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Valley Wood, sister, Beulah W. Truelove, brother, Raymond T. Wood, nephew, Bobby D. Truelove and a grandson, Nathan Bret Wegner.
Wiley is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Sykes Wood, daughter Phyllis Cozart and husband Michael of Angier, Brenda Brock and husband Ken of Pittsboro, Wanda Wegner of Angier and son Donald R. Wood and friend JoAnn of Fuquay-Varina. Grandchildren, Jim Thomas, Valerie Thomas McLamb, Jason Brock, Menessa Cooksey, Brian Brock, Summer W. Senter, Shane Wegner, Alana Wegner, Dave Wood, Jonathan Cozart and Michael Cozart. Great Grandchildren, Tripp Thomas, Madison Turlington, Airiella Brock, Taylor Brock, Kaitlin Cooksey, Brazton Cooksey, Cody Muffick, Tyler Senter, Drew Cozart and Kylie Cozart. Numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Williford Funeral Home, 201 E. Academy St., Fuquay-Varina, Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Gordon will officiate. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Wake Med Rehab, Fuquay-Varina, NC for the care given to Wiley. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to the Piney Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 3217 Piney Grove-Wilbon Rd., Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
