Dateline: Fuquay-Varina

Rubelle Norris Tudor, 93, passed away at Rex Hospital on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Mrs. Tudor was born in Wake County in 1915 to the late William and Lessie Norris. She is preceded in death by her husband, Owen Shell Tudor, and brothers Jaymie A. Norris, William Clarence Norris, and Nello T. Norris.

Mrs. Tudor was a devoted mother, wife, and sister, a charter member of Forrest Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh, and a member of Fuquay Baptist Church for over fifty years. She was a dedicated member of her community, spending her entire life serving it loyally. She loved flowers and was an active member in the Garden club.

Mrs. Tudor is survived by her two children Donald Norris Tudor, wife Leah, of Columbia, South Carolina and Doloris Tudor Baily, husband Bob, of Clinton. She leaves behind six grandchildren, Dwight, Lauren, Brandon, Cathy, Robbie, and Rebekah, and two Great-Grandchildren, Jared and Anna.

The family will hold a memorial service at Windsor Point Retirement Community 11:00am on Friday. A visitation will be held at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Friday with a funeral service following at 3:00pm. Internment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Owen S. Tudor and Rubelle N. Tudor Divinity School Endowed Scholarship Fund of Campbell University, PO Box 116, Buies Creek, NC 27506.
