Judith (Judy) E. Kuntz entered into God’s eternal care at 8:28 PM Thursday, February 7, 2013 at home with family members at her side.
Judy was the wife of Wendell Kuntz, III of Holly Springs, NC. Born in Hanover, PA on June 20, 1943, she was the daughter of Ellene M. (Hoke) Yost of Hanover, PA and the late Wilbur A. Yost.
Judy left Hanover shortly after graduating from Hanover High School and moved to Washington, DC, where she worked for the Federal Government. She performed clerical tasks for the USDA and the US Senate. Judy married David Carr and together had a daughter, Abigail (Abby) Rebecca.
After moving to Holly Springs, NC, Judy worked in the food service industry for Manhattan Bagel, Cary, Goodberry’s Creamery, Raleigh, and Leaping Lizards Coffee (Kiosk), Fuquay-Varina. Judy was currently employed by Weeks Dye Works, Garner, where she performed various clerical tasks. Judy was a member of Bentwinds Golf and Country Club, Fuquay-Varina. While not playing a lot of golf, Judy thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the 19th hole over looking the course, talking with club members, golfers and the club house staff.
Judy is survived by one daughter Abigail Rebecca (Carr) Buchold (Husband Greg) of Houston, TX; sisters Rebecca (Becky) Meckley (Husband Butch) of Hanover and Libby A. Donatelli (Husband Jeff) of Pittsburgh; a brother Wade A. Yost of Ruffs Dale, Pa..
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Williford Funeral Home, 201 East Academy St., Fuquay-Varina, NC. There will be no viewing. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or the American Cancer Society .
