Henry Rawls

Dateline: Fuquay-Varina David Henry Rawls, 92, of Piney Grove Rawls Road, died January 13, 2009. Henry was born on the Rawls family home place and remained on this beloved farm for the rest of his life.Henry loved people, his church, Rawls Baptist Church, and sports, especially baseball. He was very involved with baseball as a player and later as an umpire and youth coach. He was a very loving son and brother to his family. His nephews and nieces sought his freely-given attention. Henry was devoted to his church serving where needed and was a lifetime member of the choir. He is survived by two sisters, Mattie of the home, Edith Rawls Isaacs of Virginia Beach, four nieces, four nephews, two great-nieces and six great nephews.The family will receive friends at Williford Funeral Home from 7
