Hazel Ruth Strickland, 69, passed away at Brookdale Senior Living in Greensboro, NC on July 4, 2009. She was born in Harnett County to the late William R. Barbour and Mrs. Josephine Smith Barbour. She was also preceded in death by her brother William H. Barbour. Hazel worked for Bank of America for 33 years. More than simply a caretaker, Mrs. Strickland was the greatest mother a son could ask for.
